Code of Conduct

Last updated: May 30, 2026

Friends of Medicine is a professional space for healthcare professionals and service providers to connect. This Code of Conduct sets the expectations for every member. It is incorporated into, and forms part of, our Terms of Service.

Be professional and respectful

Treat other members with professionalism and courtesy. Harassment, discrimination, threats, hate speech, and abusive behavior have no place here and are not tolerated.

Represent yourself honestly

Provide accurate, current, and truthful information about your identity, professional status, credentials, licensure, and the services you offer. Do not impersonate anyone or misrepresent your qualifications or affiliations. FOM does not independently verify member information, so the integrity of the network depends on your honesty.

Never share patient or protected health information

Do not upload, post, or share any patient-identifiable information or protected health information (PHI) — including patient names, photographs, records, case details, or test results — anywhere on the Platform, including in your profile, need descriptions, listings, and messages. FOM is a professional networking platform, not a place for clinical or patient data.

Respect confidentiality

Do not share confidential, proprietary, or non-public information that you are not authorized to disclose, or any information subject to a confidentiality or non-disclosure obligation owed to someone else.

Keep it truthful and lawful

Do not post false, misleading, or defamatory statements about others. Do not use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, for spam or unsolicited marketing outside its intended use, or to circumvent the Platform’s connection and payment process.

Reporting and enforcement

If you encounter a profile or behavior that violates this Code, please report it to us at conduct@friendsofmed.com. FOM may investigate and, at its discretion, issue a warning, remove content, or suspend or permanently ban members who violate this Code or our Terms of Service.
